Director Asks Crew To Double As Zombie Extras; "They Have The Perfect Look"

SANTA CLARITA, CA — An independent film director asked his crew to double as zombie extras Thursday, stating they already had the "perfect look".

“I was originally going to hire background actors and put them through hours of prosthetics,” said director Wendell Fenske. “But then I saw our camera team stumbling blindly around craft services with completely pale skin,” Fenske said. “I realized they could sell the look just as well... and for a fraction of the cost!”

Fenske noted the production wouldn’t even need a wardrobe department. The stained sweatpants and hoodies the crew had been working in all week were exactly what he envisioned victims of a viral outbreak dying in.
